The Challenge

The construction industry moves billions of dollars annually, yet still relies on outdated, paper-heavy billing and payment processes that create dangerous cash flow gaps. Delayed payments put financial strain on general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors, driving up project costs and causing schedule overruns that ripple across entire developments. The problem isn't the work, it's the money getting to the right people at the right time.

The Solution

ClearFunds is a purpose-built for the construction industry, bringing transparency, accountability, and speed to the billing and payment process. By modernizing how funds flow between owners, developers, lenders, and contractors, ClearFunds helps projects stay on budget, on schedule, and financially healthy from groundbreaking to completion.

As Technical Project Manager, I led cross-functional coordination across design, engineering, and product to drive the platform's development and delivery.

My Role

Project Management: Owned the full delivery roadmap, keeping engineering, design, and business stakeholders aligned and on track through every development phase

Requirement Translation: Translated complex construction finance workflows and compliance requirements into clear, structured engineering tasks and feature specifications

Risk Management: Proactively identified and resolved project blockers, protecting delivery timelines and ensuring business-critical milestones were consistently met

Stakeholder Communication: Maintained transparent, regular reporting with clients and internal teams, managing expectations around scope, schedule, and quality throughout the project lifecycle

Delivered a platform modernizing one of the most financially inefficient industries in the world helping construction teams protect their cash flow, reduce project risk, and keep developments moving forward without the burden of antiquated payment processes.
