The Challenge

Entrepreneurs are one of the fastest-growing communities globally, yet lacked a dedicated platform built specifically for their needs. General social networks weren't designed for idea pitching, co-founder matching, or startup team building. The result: a fragmented, underserved community of innovators with no central space to connect, collaborate, and grow together.

The Solution

Connect is a purpose-built social platform for entrepreneurs, startups, and incubators, reimagining how the startup community networks, collaborates, and builds. From idea pitching and team formation to business catalogs and community news feeds, Connect brings every dimension of the entrepreneurial journey into one unified platform.

As the sole Android developer and product owner, I built Connect from scratch, leading product discovery sessions, designing the database architecture, and delivering the full application end-to-end.

What I Built

Entrepreneur Profiles: Individual, business, and incubator profiles enabling rich, contextual networking across the startup ecosystem

Idea Pitching: Dedicated space for entrepreneurs to pitch ideas to a targeted community of like-minded builders and potential collaborators

Team Building: Tools for startups to find and recruit team members based on skills, interests, and goals

Team Chat Rooms: Real-time group communication enabling seamless collaboration between co-founders, teams, and communities

News Feed: Dynamic feed supporting status updates, long-form article writing, and incubator announcements keeping the community informed and engaged

Business & Incubator Catalogs: Searchable directories of businesses and incubators enabling discovery and partnership opportunities across the ecosystem

Database Design: Architected the full data schema from scratch, designing for scalability across user profiles, relationships, content, and real-time messaging

Product Discovery: Led discovery sessions to define core features, user flows, and platform priorities before a single line of code was written

Impact

Delivered a full-stack entrepreneurial community platform from zero, creating a dedicated space where entrepreneurs could find their people, pitch their ideas, build their teams, and grow their ventures together.
