The Challenge

Gaming zones were still running on manual, paper-based systems to track PC and console availability, manage customer sessions, and handle billing, creating chaos during rush hours, missed revenue from untracked sessions, and no reliable way to communicate offers or updates to their customer base. There was a clear need to bring gaming zone operations into the modern era.

The Solution

Gaming Zone Management System is a fully digitized desktop operations platform purpose-built for gaming zone businesses, replacing manual tracking with a real-time, role-based management system that handles everything from PC availability and session timing to customer communications and business reporting.

As the sole developer, I designed and built the entire system from scratch, covering database architecture, role-based access control, real-time session management, SMS/email integration, and business intelligence reporting.

What I Built

Real-Time PC & Console Tracking: Live dashboard showing availability, current occupancy, assigned customer, and remaining session time for every machine in the gaming zone
Session & Credit Management: Credit-based session control that automatically removes a machine from the available view when credits reach zero and generates a new customer ID upon session renewal
Role-Based Access Control: Two-tier admin and operator system with clearly defined permissions; operators manage day-to-day floor operations while admins retain full system control including user account management and password administration
Customer Communication: Integrated SMS and email facility enabling admins to send customers personalized messages, promotional offers, discount packages, and new game arrival announcements
Business Intelligence Reporting: Microsoft Power BI integration embedded directly within the app, enabling admins to generate custom charts, graphs, and tables for comprehensive monthly and time-range business reporting
Contact & Developer Support: Built-in support feature connecting users directly to developer assistance for issue resolution and system guidance
Rush Hour Management: Streamlined operator workflows designed specifically to handle high-volume customer demand efficiently during peak hours
