The Challenge

Content creators on YouTube and social media live by their thumbnails, a compelling visual is often the difference between a click and a scroll-past. Yet most creators lacked the design skills or tools to produce eye-catching thumbnails, banners, and cover photos quickly and professionally from their phone.

The Solution

Thumbnail Maker is a free, purpose-built design app for Android that empowers content creators to produce stunning thumbnails, banners, and cover photos for YouTube and social media platforms, directly from their mobile device, in minutes.

As an Android Engineer, I owned day-to-day feature updates, user issue resolution, and led the redesign of the core editor components to deliver a more intuitive, UX-driven creative experience.

What I Built & Improved

Editor Redesign: Led the UX-focused overhaul of the main editor components, streamlining the design workflow and making key creative actions more accessible and efficient for everyday creators

Ongoing Maintenance: Resolved user-reported issues and shipped continuous improvements, keeping the app stable, performant, and creator-ready
