The Challenge

Most mobile games either demand too much time, too much skill, or too much screen real estate to be genuinely pick-up-and-play. The goal with Zaggar was simple, build a game so intuitive that anyone, any age, could pick it up instantly, but compelling enough that they'd keep coming back to beat their own score.

The Solution

Zaggar is an endless, one-touch 3D mobile game built in Unity, where the challenge is as simple as keeping a ball rotating on the floor as long as possible while collecting diamonds and chasing a higher score. With no age barrier, no complex controls, and a beautifully clean material design aesthetic, Zaggar delivers pure, addictive gameplay in the most accessible format possible.

What I Built

Core Gameplay Loop: One-touch/one-click ball rotation mechanic with left and forward movement controls, designed for instant learnability and long-term replayability
Dynamic Difficulty Scaling: Ball rotation speed progressively increases with score, creating a natural, satisfying difficulty curve that deepens the challenge without changing the controls
Diamond Collection System: Collectible diamonds scattered across the floor reward precision movement and boost score, adding a secondary layer of engagement to every run
5-Level Campaign Mode: Score-gated progression across 5 distinct levels, each with unique floor and environment color schemes, rewarding mastery before advancing
Free Play Mode: Standalone endless mode for pure, uninterrupted score-chasing gameplay
Game Over Experience: Polished Game Over animation displaying current score, high score, and a clean restart flow — turning every loss into motivation for one more run
Material Design Aesthetic: Clean, vibrant 3D material design visual language making the game as satisfying to look at as it is to play
